• Stuck in Realness

Project Stuck in Realness, delineates the gravity of the visual representation of glorified commerce architecture. This research consociates the relationship between symbolic meaning, visual space and sound within the constructs of brand architecture. The design amplifies the strong connection between the constructed reality of architecture and the desired symbolic manner that these systems bring forward.

A project designed by Katryna Marija Čiurlionis. The project focussed on the power of pharmaceuticals and their ability to permeate daily life in a way that not only reshapes the body and mind, but also dictates a global bio-economy, and informs greater built environments. Through several different medium (3D modeling, drawing, animation, and sound design) Katryna re-constructed a memory of the drugs Xanax as a series of seven“scopic” portals.

Studio Nemeye animated the technical visualisation of the seven “scopic” series, together with sound engineer Robert Kroos and leading designer Katryna. The challenge of the project is that the drawings are created spatially, these drawings had to be translated into the moving image as a spatial natural experience without losing its meaning. The reconfiguration of a 2 dimensional surface into a spatial architectural experience, resulted into a combination of constant motion, sound and feeling of depth and focus.
